I love the natural and cultural beauty so justly attributed to our State. I chose southern NM as my new home in 2012 because it reminded me of my childhood on the desert island of Aruba, which has a similar landscape, socio-economics, and culture. However, on hikes and travels around the State, I couldn’t help notice the rather casual and sometimes destructive way people treat their surroundings, whether it be their homes or the desert environment. I began collecting images reflecting this side of things.
